about me

My name is Shane Williams and I live and work in Townsville North Queensland which is about 1400 klms to the north of Brisbane, the capital of Queensland in Australia and 330 klms south of Cairns.  After moving back to Brisbane in April 2006 we decided to move back to Townsville due to the "laid back" lifestyle here and the beautiful weather.  This is the second time my family and I have lived here.  Previously we spent 2.5 years in Townsville.  My wife, Gwenneth and I met back in 2000 and we have been together since.  We share 2 beautiful children, Mikayla who is 3 and Imogen who is 2.

My hobbies include the weather and computers. I have most of my friends and family in Brisbane, some friends live here in Townsville.  I am an easy going person but have been well know to speak my mind and tell it like it is.  That sometimes gets me into trouble.  My ultimate goal is to retire in Northern Australia because it so beautiful up here and the weather in Winter is great along with Summer which has the best monsoon seasonal rain I have ever seen.
