The Underground Hospital Hospital.
Visiting the Underground Hospital was interesting and one of a kind. It was built in 1942 after the bombing on Darwin's hospital during WWII. It was built by miners in their time and on weekends. it had maternity wards, children's wards, a surgical theatre and a baby delivery room. In 1995 it was declared as a tourist attraction. The kids enjoyed the baby ward as there were some dolls in bassinets. Gwenneth being a nurse had a great time there too. The cost was $10.00 p/p and free for kids.
